We frequently use also prior to much and a lot of. It means ‘greater than needed’. We could use also much prior to an uncountable noun and a lot of right before a plural noun, or with out a noun in the event the noun is apparent: …slight, minor - (quantifier applied with mass nouns) tiny in quantity or diploma; not much or Virtually none or (
